Chax 2.2.2 Beta 1
This beta fixes some minor bugs as well as adding an option to automatically clear file transfers from the transfer list once they successfully finish.
Regarding Snow Leopard, current versions of Chax are not compatible with 10.6. Chax will not load under any circumstances, nor can you make any tweak to force it to load. I have yet to determine what the future of Chax will be on Snow Leopard, but there will be no Snow Leopard-compatible version of Chax at least until Snow Leopard ships in September.
Changes from Chax 2.2.1:
- (Note) The preference for "Show Text Status" in the View menu has been reset for improved compatability for future releases
- (New) Option to automatically clear successful file transfers
- (New) Can now remove individual items from the activity window with the delete key
- (Bug) Activity window dates now use the system-defined date and time formats
- (Bug) Fixed the unified contact list position not saving for some localizations
- (Bug) Reduced log viewer load time

Is this a bug? Everything after an "<" will not be sent to an ICQ-User! An ICQ-User won't receive this string for example "<this is important". I'm using AIM + iChat + Chax to chat with ICQ-Users. Greets!

Just uninstalled 2.2.2 beta... I installed in on my computer and a second one. when I would try to initiate a text chat, I would get an error that said: "The other person’s software doesn’t support that type of request" Strange. it was the same .mac name we have both been using for years. Also, the other computer couldnt see my status as Available, only as Away, even when I changed it. I could no longer screen share automatically with iChat, fortunately i have VNC set up on the second computer, so I could use that to log in and remove the beta, and reinstall the more stable version. 2.2.1 works perfectly again. Thanks for all your hard work!

Hi, I just wanted to add a few suggestions for some features that I think would make Chax the perfect addon to iChat: 1) The ability to ignore/delete AIM's groups 2) Metacontacts (ie: a contact grouping for those users that have multiple accounts on different networks) 3) Transparency & auto-close (ie: messages windows are transparent and automatically close after a certain amount of inactivity, ex- 30 min) Thanks for creating this.

Hi, I just wanted to ask when will SL support come out since the official SL is coming out in a month or so and lots of people will upgrade to it since it's really cheap.

I'd like to support the request for Snow Leopard support. Chax is a great tool. I was a little late in discovering it, since I had used Adium for a while, but have since fully switched due to the chat logging feature of Chax. Keep up the good work Kent.
