Here comes beta 6 of Chax 1.4, hopefully the last beta before a final release. This beta will also run until April 20th.

Changes since beta 5:

  • Further improved tab sizing
  • Add Buddy, Save As, Print Setup and Print now work when using tabs
  • User icons show up in the overflow menu if showing icons is enabled in the preferences
  • Fixed a possible crash when pasting large amounts of text into a chat
  • Fixed a possible crash when moving a tab to a window window

I've received a number of suggestions for tabs, especially minor requests to suit personal preferences. These won't be added for the current version, but in the future some of these suggestions will likely make their way in.

Known issues with this version:

  • Print from a tab can cause errors
  • Blocking a user from the contact list doesn't work
  • Tabs can get stuck in the "user offline" state
  • Deminiaturize when messaged option doesn't always work with tabs
