What is so disappointing is people like you expecting something for nothing. If you actually took a second to search instead of just bitching about a generous developer who supported a product for over 5 years *for free*, you’d see that he DID release the code as open source many years ago:

I'm sure that many of us would just like to move on if the product is EOL. If Kent is working on other projects and hasn't the time for an update, perhaps he can release the code as Open Source.
