Just found one small issue with 3.0 beta 2. On starting one of my connection accounts was causing a "Cannot verify certificate" and Chax was displaying a "Check for updates" dialog. No nuttons on either dialog would work so we were locked-up (needing a force quit). Chax dialog had foreground but nothing would clear it. Force quit and re-ran iChat several time always with same result. In the end had to remove Chax, run iChat, tell the account certificate warning to always trust that account then exit iChat, re-install Chax and restart and it all went fine then (Chax "Check for updates" would work fineas there was no longer any "Cannot verify security certificate" warning dialog on the account causing the report.

Excellent – found a small bug.

Just found one small issue with 3.0 beta 2. also, noticed a bug: when deleting a group from the combined buddy list, confirm drop down stays open when you confirm delete or hit cancel. upon reload of ichat, the group is deleted.

so far, looking good. are there plans to combine buddies, as in adium?

also, noticed a bug: when deleting a group from the combined buddy list, confirm drop down stays open when you confirm delete or hit cancel. upon reload of ichat, the group is deleted.

By: cd

<guid

I noticed that I can't really manage groups in your "All Contacts" view. I can't drag people between groups or rename them.
I can only do this by opening iChat's native "Aim Buddy List" and "Jabber List" seperately and managing them there, then they are reflected in the All Contacts view.
Thanks!

I have to get the installer to Remove and then Install Chax again for it to appear. Then after a couple of days, it will be gone again.
