I've been using Chax since the beginning and since I'm the Host (and Executive Producer) of a podcast listened by thousands of Mac Fan ;) it's worth a dime ;) I just installed 2.1.1 and discovered the "Unified List"! VERY cool. I have configured Jabber to have my MSN (and others but in Europe it's MSN that a bunch of people use) and I kinda refuse to use Adium, since iChat is soo cool for so many respects. Yet, there's at least 2 things I would suggest you, 2 things I need. One I did it myself but it would be nice to do it for the user. When you use a font smaller than 12pt, the vc-video.tiff and other icons for Audio and Video are too big. So I went to the Resources and resized them all to 16px width instead of 24. What about having them resized "at run time"? BTW it would be nice to be able to show the Buddy Icon without it taking sooo much space, same thing, resize at run time. The second problem is related. You can imagine how big is my contact list is, if I have to use 9pt font instead of 12, and it's still not fitting on my 27" screen... Actually, it wouldn't even fit onto a 30", so I'd like to have the unified contact list display more than 1 column, since I have place in width ;) I think 2 columns should be enough but who knows. The other small improvement is the "Sort Buddies" Menu from iChat which could give more options. I'd like to get in touch with you, as I'd love to speak more about Chax in Pomcast.com! Cheers. Hi!
