As you probably know, if the person's name is long, or has letters such as lower-case "p", "g" etc. in it, then it is often cut off at those parts. Therefore, I suggest giving the user the option to change the font size and/or bubble size in the dock to suit his/her needs. Count me in a donation of $50 if you can get this working! For instance, I'll be talking for a while, close the message window, and then when I open a new one to talk to someone later, the window is bigger (vertically). This doesn't happen when I'm not using tabs, so I imagine it has something to do with the tab bar. This happened with the last version, too.
