As you probably know, if the person's name is long, or has letters such as lower-case "p", "g" etc. in it, then it is often cut off at those parts. Therefore, I suggest giving the user the option to change the font size and/or bubble size in the dock to suit his/her needs.
Excuse me for my ignorance if this has been discussed before, but it's a personal problem I've been having.
I wish you luck, and I hope you look into this.
Happy programming!

I have a suggestion for the unread message notifications in the dock icon.

As you probably know, if the person’s name is long, or has letters such as lower-case “p”, “g” etc. in it, then it is often cut off at those parts. Count me in a donation of $50 if you can get this working! Shoot me an e-mail direct if you want.

2 things to suggest. 1, disable iChat from using the real name listed in the address book if you have the AIM inside the contact information. 2, have an option to auto accept IMs but not chats as well. For instance, I'll be talking for a while, close the message window, and then when I open a new one to talk to someone later, the window is bigger (vertically). This doesn't happen when I'm not using tabs, so I imagine it has something to do with the tab bar. This happened with the last version, too.

I’m using tabs and I’ve noticed that the message windows always grow in size every time I open a new one.
