Chax 1.4.8
Friday, March 9th, 2007Here’s the final release of Chax 1.4.8. The only addition from the beta is a new option to automatically clear out old activity log entries, as the log can get pretty large after a while. This is most likely the last release of Chax until Leopard comes out. In the past year I’ve done just about as much as I can to make iChat more usable, and I think I’ve about reached the limit in terms of making solid, nondisruptive enhancements. iChat in Leopard looks like it’ll be a significant improvement over Tiger, but I’m sure there will still be a place for Chax ![]()
Changes from 1.4.7:
- (New) Support for vertically oriented tabs on the left and right sides of message windows
- (Feature improvement) Added an option to have the activity log automatically clear after a certain length of time
- (Bug) Fixed a problem where tab animations became stuck when opening or closing a tab
- (Bug) Tear-off windows are now always the same size as the window they are removed from
