But currently I have to send one at a time. Could you develop a "send to group" feature? The Trillian for PC has this and I loved it when I was on the PC. I haven't found any MAC OS messaging program that does it. Thanks!

I have a feature request. The problem has now appeared with 1.4.6, though it does not constantly appear like in 1.4.7. I will investigate my older console.logs to see if this issue appeared and I only noticed it when switching to 1.4.7 thanks to my ballooning console.logs.
I have a reasonable working theory that a certain buddy icon, which involves a transparent area and may in fact be in PNG format (he may be using Adium if that matters) is the root of this issue, so it seems likely to be a bug in iChat or Chax PNG handling.
The issue disappears with Chax 1.4.6 if he's not online. If I turn on "Show Offline Buddies" in iChat, the issue returns. If I replace his icon with a different one and choose "always display this icon," the issue is resolved even if he comes online or I choose to "Show Offline Buddies."
A few more set-up details: I have animated icons turned on in Chax, and normally do not have offline buddies displayed in iChat. I also have iChat set to "Use Groups."

A second addendum:

The problem has now appeared with 1.4.6, though it does not constantly appear like in 1.4.7. "/Applications/iChat.app/Contents/MacOS/iChat: CMSCreateDataProviderOrGetInfo : Invalid colorspace type" is written to the console.log on average 4 times every second while iChat is open. Needless to say, the console.log gets rather large rather quickly.
It seems to occur any time I launch iChat, go on or offline, a buddy goes on or offline, anyone changes status, I switch to or from iChat, and at completely random times.
I'm running OS X 10.4.8 with all updates on a Dual G5 Power Mac with 1GB of RAM. My wife has the same error message popping up on her MacBook, running 10.4.8 with all updates, when she first opens iChat. It doesn't repeat incessantly while iChat is open on her laptop.
Reverting to Chax 1.4.6 fixed the issue.

I’ve found a big bug in the otherwise splendid Chax 1.4.7.

“/Applications/iChat.app/Contents/MacOS/iChat: CMSCreateDataProviderOrGetInfo : Invalid colorspace type” is written to the console.log on average 4 times every second while iChat is open. As I was saying, the uninstallers for versions 1.4.6 & 1.4.7b2 both work.

Opps wrong button (Hit enter instead of return)

As I was saying, the uninstallers for versions 1.4.6 & 1.4.7b2 both work.
