Chax 1.4.1 Beta 3

I haven’t been able to make much progress lately, so beta three doesn’t include too many changes. Once I finish with 1.4.1 I hope to start working on some more significant changes.

Changes from beta 2:

  • Minor tweaks to auto-resizing the contact list
  • Made some modifications with file transfer progress windows, hopefully they will display better for some people.
  • Small change to the input line to try to keep it from resizing when initially opening a tab.

    After launching iChat with Buddy List and Bonjour windows open, both windows will close when the Activity window (option-command-A) is first opened. Same thing with either the Buddy List or Bonjour window alone. Bug first discovered in 1.4; still exists in 1.4.1 Beta 3.

    I cannot disappear any chat windows, but seems there opend from Window menu with Japanese language environment (Chax’s “Japanese.lproj” folder removed).

    I am a Chax lover, but with this new version I’m experiencing a strange bug. New chat invitations don’t appear in my tabbed window, but in a standard iChat window. Upon accepting the chat, the window is integrated in my tabbed window as a tab. Wasn’t happening with previous versions.

    A feature that would add MSN, Google Talk, Gizmo Support would be awsome. I would switch back to iChat from my switch to AdiumX.

    I love the program you guys have, but there is one suggestion that i would REALLY love to see, and that is the option of having the idle time next to the user on the buddy list when they are AWAY. It is the ONLY thing I dont like about ichat. In order to see how long the user has been idle you have to hold your mouse over their name. With Adium you can set it up to just display, or dim. It would be awesome if you guys could add this feature to it.
